Bureau of School Operations
The Bureau of School Operations is headed by a Director.
The Bureau is responsible for operations and non-academic programs and activities of the public schools and administration of grants relevant to the infrastructure, education support services, and operations support units.
The Bureau has two divisions.
Division of Planning and Development
Headed by a Chief. The division has the following duties and functions:
- Oversee and manage future expansion and development;
- Manage plant and maintenance processes and procedures;
- Maintenance, upkeep, and service of school assets; and
- Performance of other duties as assigned by the Director of School Operations.
Division of School Operations Management
Headed by a Chief. The division has the following duties and functions:
- Organize and maintain a sustainable public-school food service program;
- Organize and maintain a safe and sustainable public-school transportation system;
- Provide safety and security in the public schools;
- Management of day-to-day non-instructional operational activities and programs of the pub- lic schools;
- Maintenance and service of information technology/IT help desk; and
- Performance of other duties as assigned by the Director of School Operations.
